Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Junior Angular Developer to join a fast-moving IT team focused on modernizing user interfaces for federal customers. This is an entry-level / early-career full-time role based in Johnson City, TN. The role emphasizes building well-scoped UI components, fixing defects, writing unit tests, and improving accessibility under the mentorship of senior engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Implement assigned Angular UI components, small features, validation, and bug fixes with guidance from senior developers
• Write and maintain unit tests for components and services; address straightforward test failures and reviewer feedback
• Consume documented REST APIs and follow established patterns for errors, loading states, and user messaging
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: daily standups, refinement, planning, demos, retrospectives, and code reviews
• Support Section 508 / WCAG accessibility remediation and responsive-layout tasks under senior direction
• Use Git and pull-request workflows correctly and maintain clear comments and documentation for assigned work
• Escalate blockers early and actively apply feedback from mentorship and peer reviews

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications (entry / junior level):

• 1–3 years of hands-on Angular / TypeScript experience (internships and structured apprenticeships count)
• Working familiarity with HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS, Angular components, basic forms, and consuming REST APIs
• Exposure to automated unit testing and Git-based version control
• Basic understanding of Agile delivery, code review processes, accessibility, and responsive design
• Strong willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow through mentorship

Preferred (nice-to-have):

• Coursework, bootcamp, apprenticeship, or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Prior experience with browser debugging tools and front-end build tooling
