Role overview

Confidential Client is looking for a motivated, entry-level Junior Actuary (Actuarial Analyst) to join a Property & Casualty (P&C) actuarial team in Edina, MN. This hands-on role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career candidates who want practical exposure to pricing, reserving, portfolio analytics and business-facing commercial work while progressing toward actuarial accreditation.

What You’ll Do

• Support pricing and reserving analyses for P&C portfolios
• Prepare and validate datasets, run model inputs and produce clear summaries for senior actuaries
• Build and maintain Excel-based models and contribute to analytics using SQL, Python or R where applicable
• Assist with portfolio analytics, trend analysis and ad-hoc commercial requests
• Communicate findings to actuarial and business stakeholders; document assumptions and methodologies
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and modelling processes

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or another quantitative discipline
• 0–1 year of relevant experience (internships and co-ops welcome)
• Progress toward actuarial exams (CAS preferred)
• Strong analytical ability and advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with SQL, Python or R is advantageous
• Interest in P&C insurance and a clear desire to develop toward actuarial accreditation
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
