What You’ll Do

This entry-level Accounts Receivable role supports the Foodservice order-to-cash function. You will learn core AR processes, support daily cash application and collections activities, investigate account discrepancies, and help maintain accurate customer account records.

  • Process incoming customer payments and apply cash accurately to customer accounts
  • Analyze aged receivables and support collection activities to reduce outstanding balances
  • Research deductions, rebates, short payments, and invoice discrepancies with customers and internal partners
  • Execute AR transactions and prepare routine reports in SAP and related finance systems
  • Maintain documentation, correspondence, and audit support materials for AR transactions
  • Support month-end close activities and provide data for accounting reconciliations
  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve disputes and improve order-to-cash workflows
  • Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes, strengthen controls, and improve reporting accuracy

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, deductions management, or customer account reconciliation (business-to-business preferred)
  • Experience applying cash, researching payment discrepancies, and managing aged receivables
  • Working knowledge of order-to-cash processes, basic accounting principles, and AR controls
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook for reporting and communication
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and clear communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; HighRadius or similar AR automation tools a plus
  • Prior exposure to month-end close tasks, audit support, and process documentation
  • Demonstrated success resolving customer account issues through research and cross-functional follow-up

Compensation & Schedule

  • Base salary: $50,000 — $65,000 per year
  • Bonus: approximately 8% annual bonus opportunity
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Work model: Hybrid (local to Ny State Campus, NY required)
