Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Junior Accountant to support core accounting activities for a manufacturing organization in Coraopolis, PA. This entry-level role focuses on transactional accounting, month-end routines, and cross-functional support to help maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support billing by preparing customer invoices, tracking sales documentation, and resolving transaction questions with warehouses, customers, and internal teams.
• Process vendor invoices, assist with payment runs, reconcile accounts payable, and maintain supplier records (including vendor onboarding).
• Review employee expense reports for policy compliance, correct coding, and proper classification.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Compile recurring financial reports on a weekly and monthly cadence to provide visibility into business performance.
• Prepare and post journal entries and help maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with balance sheets, income statements, and related financial documentation following accounting standards and company policies.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, organizing support files and completing assigned tasks on schedule.
• Provide documentation and account support for internal and external audits.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and leadership while also performing administrative tasks that support departmental goals.

Qualifications & skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent relevant experience in an accounting-support role.
• Working knowledge of general ledger activity, journal entries, and standard accounting procedures.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks.
• Familiarity with corporate tax concepts and sales tax support is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review financial data for accuracy and correct classification.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel) and comfort using accounting systems; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external contacts.

Salary & location

• Location: Coraopolis, PA (on-site / local candidate preferred)
• Pay: $55,000 – $65,000 per year (listed by Confidential Client)
