Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Jr Validation Engineer to support equipment and process validation activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on work on the production floor with technical documentation and protocol execution. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite opportunity in Westerville, OH.

What You’ll Do

• Support equipment and system validation activities for manufacturing operations
• Author, revise, and maintain validation protocols, test scripts, and final reports
• Execute validation protocols and record testing results in accordance with procedures
• Support change control activities related to equipment modifications and maintenance
• Update and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and other technical documentation
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams during installations and equipment changes
• Assist with investigations, risk assessments, and documentation reviews as needed
• Monitor critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs) for validated processes
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations
• Ensure compliance with GMP and applicable validation standards

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience

• Knowledge of validation principles, validation protocols, process validation, and testing
• Familiarity with equipment validation, CPPs, CQAs, risk assessment, SOPs, and work instructions
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related technical field OR equivalent pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
• 0–2 years of professional experience (entry-level / junior engineer)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and manage assigned tasks
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn in a regulated environment
• Familiarity with GMP and regulated manufacturing documentation

Additional (preferred) experience

• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing or engineering settings
• Prior exposure to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments
• Experience authoring technical documentation or procedures
• Participation in process improvement efforts

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $28.85 - $40.87 per hour (Contract-to-hire). Individual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
