Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Jr. UX Content Writer (6‑month contract, full‑time) to create clear, useful, and consistent interface content across web and mobile products. This is a 5‑day onsite role in Coppell, TX. You will work closely with UX designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to turn user needs and complex requirements into concise, human‑centered microcopy and content patterns.

What You’ll Do

• Write and edit interface content including navigation, labels, buttons, forms, error messages, onboarding, notifications, help content, and other in‑product copy.
• Use customer insights, research, and journey context to craft content that is clear, useful, accessible, inclusive, and moment‑appropriate.
• Collaborate with UX designers from early concepts through implementation; contribute content that shapes flows, hierarchy, and interaction patterns.
• Apply and uphold established voice, tone, terminology, and editorial standards across digital products.
• Help maintain reusable content patterns, glossaries, and design‑system documentation.
• Participate in usability testing, content reviews, experiments, and design reviews; iterate based on feedback.
• Review implemented experiences for accuracy, accessibility, grammar, and adherence to approved standards.

Must‑Have Skills

• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex information and write concise, user‑focused microcopy.
• Experience collaborating effectively within cross‑functional product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing for websites, mobile apps, e‑commerce, retail, loyalty, ordering, delivery, or other customer‑facing digital experiences.
• Familiarity with UX writing, content design, accessibility, inclusive language, or user research.
• Experience using Figma or a similar collaborative product design tool.
• Knowledge of content standards, design systems, and reusable content patterns.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Online portfolio or work samples demonstrating writing, editing, or content design.
• Working knowledge of user research and usability testing methods and the ability to apply findings to content decisions.
• Understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and how content supports product usability.
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted writing tools responsibly while applying editorial judgment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, give and receive constructive feedback, and learn new tools and processes.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, English, Journalism, UX, Design, HCI, or related field — or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years relevant experience including internships, academic projects, freelance, or related professional work.
