What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking a Jr Test Engineer / Data Analyst to support test and data analysis efforts at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. In this role you will analyze test data, support incident reporting, and help improve data analysis tools to ensure systems meet performance requirements.
- Use MATLAB (and/or Python) to perform detailed data analysis and post-processing to evaluate system performance.
- Review and support Test Incident Reports (TIRs) by providing data-driven analysis to inform closure decisions.
- Identify and create TIRs as part of analysis and post-processing workflows.
- Provide quick-look data products to confirm equipment functionality and correct data collection during testing.
- Participate in discussions on design and improvements for data-analysis tools; contribute technical suggestions and implementation feedback.
- Support local and field test events as required, including integration and test-support activities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to acquire, validate, and deliver analysis results on tight timelines.
What We’re Looking For
Due to customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience (per posting).
- Secret-level clearance required.
- At least 1 year of experience testing DoW products.
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB and/or Python scripting for data analysis.
- Familiarity with generating and reviewing Test Incident Reports (TIRs) and test event support.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and comfortable working in test and field environments.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $73,160 - $110,000 (The final salary offer may vary based on experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.)

Location & Work Details
- Primary work location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Aberdeen, MD.
- This position requires on-site presence for test support and may include travel to field test locations.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to hold/maintain a Secret clearance are required.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Additional experience with Python-based data analysis tools and libraries.
- Prior exposure to defense or government test environments.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineers, program managers, and test teams.
