What You’ll Do

  • Create and support n8n workflows for data movement, notifications, approvals, and system integrations
  • Write and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures against Microsoft SQL Server; assist with schema design and documentation
  • Help build/consume C# APIs to connect internal tools with core systems (with mentorship)
  • Integrate AI/LLM-assisted steps (classification/extraction) into workflows under senior guidance, with attention to accuracy and failure handling
  • Test, debug, monitor, and document workflows; produce clear runbooks and support notes
  • Assist incident triage, escalation, data validation, and reconciliation tasks tied to automations
  • Iterate on solutions using direct user feedback rather than only following fixed backlog tickets

Qualifications

  • 0–2 years professional experience in software development, data engineering, or a related technical field
  • Some exposure to building internal tools/automations with Retool, n8n, or similar (Zapier, Make, Power Automate, Appsmith)
  • Foundational SQL skills (queries, joins, basic schema design), ideally with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Exposure to or coursework in C# / .NET, or strong proficiency in another OOP language with willingness to ramp on C#
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON (consuming and, with support, building)
  • Basic scripting ability (Python or JavaScript/TypeScript) for glue code or Retool custom components
  • Comfortable working directly with non-technical business stakeholders and asking clarifying questions
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting mindset, and desire to learn from senior engineers

Compensation & Benefits

  • Target pay range: $33.00 / Hr. - $38.00 / Hr. — Actual starting pay will vary based on geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
