Compensation
- $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr (base pay range). Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level software engineers to join a consulting team focused on delivering scalable software solutions to clients. In this role you will:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable, scalable software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Collaborate with engineers, QA, business analysts, and other cross-functional teams across the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews and help raise code quality standards.
- Work with relational databases and write SQL to support application functionality.
- Use Git (or similar) for version control and participate in CI/CD processes.
- Assist with deploying and maintaining applications across development, test, and production environments.
- Follow Agile/Scrum practices and support sprint planning and team ceremonies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 1–4 years of professional experience in software development, programming, or similar technical work.
- Strong programming foundation in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, C++, Kotlin, or similar.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software fundamentals.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and client-server architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience with Git or other version control tools.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to different client environments.
- Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for a paid training program and to travel or relocate for client engagements across the United States as required.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Internship, academic, or personal projects demonstrating software development experience.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET, React, Angular, Django, or Flask.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Experience with Linux/Unix-based systems.
- Exposure to microservices, distributed systems, or API-driven architectures.
Work Arrangement & Location
- Primary location: Michigan (MI), United States.
- Employment type: Full-time (W2).
- This role requires willingness to relocate for paid training in Atlanta, GA and may require travel or relocation for client assignments.
