Jr. Product Manager
The Junior Product Manager at Confidential Client will own a defined area of the company's AI-driven oncology platform, collaborating closely with engineering, data, clinical, and provider teams. What You’ll Do
- Own a product area of the Confidential Client's AI-powered oncology platform: manage the backlog, release notes, and success metrics for your surface.
- Turn product direction into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications so engineering can build without guessing.
- Run the delivery rhythm: participate in and lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning with engineering squads across time zones.
- Work with product analytics: pull, interpret, and present data to guide prioritization and measure outcomes.
- Engage with users and stakeholders: interview Clinical Operations, Patient Relations, and Provider Engagement to learn how the product is used and turn feedback into prioritized work.
- Validate releases against acceptance criteria, monitor post-release behavior, and iterate based on evidence.
- Maintain accurate documentation so distributed teams can rely on current specs and runbooks.
Who You Are
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in product management or a closely adjacent role such as business analysis, technical program management, product operations, or QA with a clear trajectory into product.
- Strong written communication skills; much of the role requires precise asynchronous writing for teams in other time zones.
- Comfortable with data: able to use spreadsheets and product analytics tools and reason about what numbers actually mean.
- Able to hold technical conversations with engineers; coding is not required but technical fluency is expected.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to healthcare, biotech, oncology, or clinical trial operations.
- Familiarity with health data compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, or mCODE.
- Experience with delivery tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
- A technical background or prior work as an engineer, data analyst, or clinical data specialist.
- Experience working in distributed teams spanning multiple time zones.

- Product analytics and reporting (spreadsheets, product analytics platforms).
- Agile delivery: Jira, Confluence, sprint ceremonies, release planning.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Data & AI, Clinical Operations, and Provider Engagement.
Location & Working Model
- Telecommute role with a requirement to be located in Virginia, US. The Confidential Client supports distributed teams but requires applicants be based in Virginia for this posting.
- This role is full-time and may involve meetings in multiple time zones.
