Confidential Client is seeking motivated, early-career technologists for full-time roles that bridge Java full-stack development and data science. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates, career-switchers, or anyone who has technical foundations (Java, Python, SQL) and wants hands-on project experience, mentorship, and direct placement support. The role is based in Reston, VA.

What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level / junior role where you will work on production-style projects and be coached to succeed in technical interviews and client environments. Typical responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain Java-based services using Core Java and Spring Boot
• Build and consume REST APIs and integrate with SQL databases
• Contribute to front-end components as part of a full-stack delivery (web frameworks, basic UI integration)
• Write, review, and maintain unit and integration tests
• Use Git for source control and participate in code reviews
• Support basic data work: data cleaning, exploratory analysis, or model prototyping (Python or Java-based tools)
• Learn cloud fundamentals and assist with deployments (basic AWS exposure preferred)
• Prepare for technical screens with mock interviews and project demos offered by Confidential Client’s training/placement program

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet most of the following minimums:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or equivalent training
• Hands-on coursework or projects in Java and/or Python
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, and Git
• Basic understanding of data structures & algorithms and ability to explain solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to present project work in interviews
• Eligible to work in the U.S.; role is located in Reston, VA

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle
• Front-end exposure (React, Angular, or similar)
• Basic cloud experience (AWS services) or certification study preparation
• Coursework or projects in data analysis, machine learning, or ETL pipelines
• Internship or prior project experience in an engineering or analytics role

Compensation & Logistics

• Employment type: Full-time
• Location: Reston, VA (onsite / hybrid as determined by Confidential Client)
• Salary: $79,000 - $136,000 per year (range provided by the hiring client)
