What You’ll Do
You will join a technical delivery team supporting IT projects from planning through deployment and closeout. This entry-level role provides hands-on exposure to real-world IT implementations and cross-functional collaboration.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects.
- Support project teams with technical tasks, documentation, and project tracking.
- Gather and document technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Assist with project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and status reports.
- Coordinate with software, infrastructure, cloud, networking, and support teams.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to project managers.
- Assist with system implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate teams.
- Maintain project documentation, technical specifications, and implementation records.
- Participate in project meetings and document action items and decisions.
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities.
- Help identify project risks, dependencies, and technical issues.
- Follow IT security, compliance, and organizational standards.
- Support post-deployment activities and project closeout.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of professional experience; internships, academic projects, and hands-on IT project experience are welcome.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, cloud computing, and networking.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT project processes.
- Familiarity with project management concepts and methodologies.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Basic understanding of SQL, databases, APIs, or scripting.
- Exposure to Git/GitHub and CI/CD concepts.
- Familiarity with IT service management or ITIL concepts.
- Experience with academic or internship-based IT projects.
Workplace & Compensation
- Location: Schiller Park, IL (on-site or hybrid as defined by the hiring manager).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Estimated compensation: $61,424 per year (estimated figure provided in source listing).
