Overview
This opportunity is with a confidential client supporting federal customers and modernizing location-aware software. The Jr. Front End Developer will help design and build web-based visualization tools and user interfaces that surface proximity- and location-driven insights. This role is full-time and requires an active or recently active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end components and user interfaces using modern web technologies.
- Implement and consume back-end services and APIs as part of end-to-end solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, back-end engineers, product/stakeholders) to deliver features.
- Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment speed and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, and maintain documentation.
- Monitor application performance, security, and scalability; troubleshoot production issues as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
- 1+ years of professional experience in web design and front-end development.
- Proven experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Familiarity building high-availability, high-scalability web solutions.
- Active or current (within two years of active) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS, or other STEM field.
- Esri certification.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong independent work ethic while collaborating effectively with teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced contracting environment.
- Clear communication skills for working with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional phone and customer support skills for technical assistance when required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and common collaboration tools.
- Good problem-solving and abstract-thinking skills.
