What You’ll Do
This entry-level Jr Data Scientist role supports Confidential Client's consulting engagements. You'll work on data preparation, modeling, and reporting to turn raw data into actionable insights.
- Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and insights
- Develop and implement machine learning models to solve client business problems
- Build and evaluate predictive models using appropriate statistical techniques
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings clearly
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, analysts, and stakeholders
- Optimize models for scalability, accuracy, and runtime performance
- Follow software development best practices including version control and Agile workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 1–4 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, software development, or a related role
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, Java, or similar languages
- Experience with data libraries and tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn
- Solid understanding of statistics, probability, linear algebra, and machine learning fundamentals
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases; data modeling experience a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is beneficial
- Exposure to ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, XGBoost) preferred but not required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willingness to relocate to Atlanta, GA for a paid training program and travel or relocate for client engagements across the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, academic, or personal projects in data science, ML, AI, or predictive analytics
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib)
- Knowledge of Git or other version control systems
- Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook, Google Colab, or similar environments
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Compensation & Logistics
- Pay range (provided by Confidential Client): $35.00/hr – $40.00/hr
- Employment type: Full-time (W2)
- This role requires flexibility to relocate for training (paid) to Atlanta, GA, and for client engagements nationwide. Relocation support details will be provided during recruitment conversations.
