What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Jr Data Scientist to help turn complex data into actionable insights. You will work closely with engineering and product partners to design, validate, and deploy predictive models that support business decisions at scale.

• Analyze raw datasets: assess quality, clean, and structure data for modeling.
• Design, validate, and iterate on predictive algorithms and statistical models.
• Convert prototypes into production-ready analytics with engineering partners.
• Translate model outputs into clear recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Document methods, results, and assumptions; communicate findings across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory data analysis and data preprocessing for supervised and unsupervised tasks.
• Build and evaluate machine learning models (regression, classification, clustering).
• Work with SQL and Python (or other supported languages) to extract and prepare data.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into pipelines and production systems.
• Produce dashboards or visualizations that surface insights for non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a quantitative field: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
• 1–2 years of experience in quantitative analytics, data modeling, or applied machine learning.
• Strong understanding of predictive modeling, clustering, and classification techniques.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for analytics (Python, C, C++, Java, or SQL).
• Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau) is a plus.
• Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.

Compensation

• Base pay range: $30.00/hr – $35.00/hr (hourly). Actual pay will be based on skills and experience and may vary by location and candidate qualifications.
