What You’ll Do
This entry-level JR Data Analyst role supports data preparation, reporting, and foundational analytics for the confidential client’s Data & AI teams in New York, NY. You'll work with senior analysts and engineers to turn raw data into reliable insights.
- Assist in data collection, cleaning, validation, and transformation for analytics and reporting.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Support development and maintenance of basic data pipelines and databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to analyze datasets and surface insights.
- Document processes, produce simple reports/dashboards, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should be recent graduates or early-career professionals with academic or internship experience in data-focused projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Academic experience with data analysis, database coursework, or projects.
- Strong SQL skills (required).
- Basic understanding of relational databases, data structures, and algorithms.
- Good problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with Python or another scripting language for data manipulation.
- Exposure to data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) through coursework or projects.
- Basic awareness of ETL/data warehousing concepts.
- Coursework or projects involving data pipelines, cloud data stacks, or version control.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range (New York, NY): $60,000 - $65,000 per year.
- This position may also be eligible for variable incentives or bonuses where applicable.
