Position overview

This entry-level role on the Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) team supports quantitative and qualitative research that informs product innovation for laundry and home appliance products. You will work on survey design, focus groups, data cleaning, analysis, and presentation of insights — all under direct mentorship from senior CMI staff. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Louisville, KY, with some domestic and international travel.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist in designing, executing, and analyzing surveys, focus groups, and other primary consumer research studies under senior guidance.
  • Support secondary market research and competitor intelligence; summarize findings into concise deliverables.
  • Collect, clean, and aggregate data to maintain research databases and ensure data quality.
  • Use Power BI, Excel, and Salesforce to analyze consumer and market data and surface actionable insights.
  • Prepare presentation materials, dashboards, and research reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics for research activities including participant recruitment, scheduling, and timeline tracking.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, and Product Development on innovation and new-technology initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve internal research documentation, templates, and best practices.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Market Analytics, Consumer Insights, Psychology, Statistics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience; internships, co-ops, or academic research projects will be considered in lieu of full-time experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methods and a strong desire to learn both.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple research activities and timelines.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working with cross-functional and multicultural teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience in market research, consumer insights, or analytics.
  • Familiarity with CRM/data platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Coursework or applied project experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, or data analysis.

Location, schedule & travel

  • Location: Louisville, KY — this role is full-time and fully on-site, Monday through Friday.
  • Travel: Some domestic and international travel required.

Compensation

  • Estimated annual pay (provided by source posting): $77,798 per year (estimated). Actual pay may vary based on experience and other factors.
