What You’ll Do
The confidential client is seeking an entry-level data professional to convert raw data into clear, actionable insights that support business and operational decisions. Typical responsibilities include:
- Collect, process, and clean data from internal and external sources.
- Validate and structure datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Build reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate trends and KPIs.
- Analyze patterns and performance metrics to support business decision-making.
- Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests and present findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify analytical requirements.
- Contribute to documentation, data standards, and process automation.
- Identify data quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay current on analytics tools, reporting practices, and visualization best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications and skills that help candidates succeed in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field — or equivalent experience from internships/projects.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Familiarity with query languages (SQL) and working with relational databases.
- Experience or coursework in data cleaning, ETL principles, and data modeling.
- Ability to translate complex data into concise, actionable insights and visualizations.
- Effective written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Desired (but not required): basic scripting in Python or R for analysis, knowledge of BI/reporting platforms, experience with dashboard automation.
