What You’ll Do

This long-term contract role supports a confidential client in building and maintaining scalable full‑stack Java applications. You will design, implement, test, and deploy features across backend services and interactive front-end components, take part in incident response and production support, and help drive architecture and platform improvements.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Build responsive UIs using React.js and collaborate on API design (REST/SOAP)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and support containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
• Troubleshoot production incidents; perform root cause analysis and code reviews
• Monitor and tune application performance using tools like Splunk and CloudWatch
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver features on schedule

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development
• Proficiency with React.js for building front-end interfaces
• Practical knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging (AWS, CloudWatch, Splunk)
• Experience working with CI/CD tools and processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with production support and incident RCA

Nice to Have

• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale applications
• Exposure to SOAP services as well as RESTful APIs
• Prior experience in banking, investment banking, or information services environments
• Experience leading feature development and platform upgrades

• Work location: Onsite — Edison, NJ
• Employment type: Long-term contract (CONTRACTOR) — W2 only
• Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, TN or E3 visa holders). Candidates who require H-1B sponsorship are not eligible for this W2-only opportunity.
