What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry‑Level Java Full Stack Engineer to join their Tempe, AZ engineering team. In this role you'll work across the stack—building backend services in Java and delivering interactive front-end experiences.
- Collaborate with product and design to implement features from concept through delivery
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Java (Spring/Spring Boot)
- Develop responsive front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React)
- Write unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations as required
- Contribute to technical design discussions and help improve engineering practices
Who You Are — Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience — entry-level candidates encouraged
- Strong fundamentals in Java and OOP concepts
- Familiarity with REST APIs and relational databases (SQL)
- Basic experience with front-end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) — exposure to React is a plus
- Comfortable using Git and collaborating in team environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Automated testing experience (JUnit, Mockito, Jest)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI)
