What You’ll Do
This Confidential Client is seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Engineer to deliver and support telecom-focused microservices and front-end features on a client site in Philadelphia, PA. You will work on end-to-end development: design, build, test, deploy, and troubleshoot services and UI components using modern Java, container, and front-end toolchains.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and Web Services.
- Develop front-end features using Angular or React.
- Containerize applications and manage deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (Git, Maven, Gradle).
- Troubleshoot application, container, and platform-level issues in Linux environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and customer-facing teams; communicate status and technical decisions clearly.
- Work onsite at the client location in Philadelphia, PA for the contract duration.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
- Proven experience developing and integrating REST APIs / Web Services.
- Full-stack development experience with Angular or React.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (Git, Maven, Gradle).
- Solid understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, and application infrastructure.
- Experience troubleshooting application, container, and platform issues.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Telecom domain experience is mandatory.
- Note: No C2C — candidates must be eligible for the specified contractor engagement model.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with Helm and Terraform.
- Monitoring and logging experience (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus).
