What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an IT Support Specialist to deliver day-to-day technical support for a federal legal office in Syracuse, NY. You will provide hands-on desktop and help-desk support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with basic network tasks, and deliver high-quality customer service to end users across multiple channels.

  • Perform primary IT support duties: in-person assistance, telephone support, email, and electronic ticketing.
  • Diagnose and resolve end-user incidents and service requests.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop/laptop hardware and common software.
  • Support peripherals and office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners, VoIP phones, video-conferencing devices).
  • Assist with routine network tasks (patching, basic router/switch support, cable re‑connects) following established protocols.
  • Provide password resets, account support, and onboarding orientation for new users.
  • Help set up, relocate, and reconnect IT equipment within office spaces.
  • Provide user guidance and training on common applications and collaboration tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional IT support or help‑desk experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems; familiarity with Windows Server is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Teams, SharePoint and Adobe.
  • Familiarity with Apple iOS devices and common mobility troubleshooting preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain adjudication for the required background investigation (government contract requirement).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay: $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
