What You’ll Do
The Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level IT StoreFront Specialist to provide frontline IT support and administrative assistance for NMCI users. This on-site role is focused on equipment distribution, inventory tracking, basic hardware/software support, and new-hire check-ins.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Support NMCI computer deployment — prepare and distribute new computers to end users
- Assist with replacement/exchange of problematic computers and support computer turn‑in for exiting employees
- Issue standard IT peripherals (headsets, microphones, cameras, keyboards, mice) and maintain accurate records of issued equipment
- Track inventory and tasks; document work performed in required systems
- Assist with new employee check‑ins — ensure required equipment and basic system access are functional on day one
- Support technology refresh activities (laptop/desktop refresh) and provide basic customer guidance during transitions
- Provide friendly, first‑contact support and escalate issues to higher‑level technicians as needed
- Follow team processes, security policies, and chain‑of‑custody procedures for DoD contracted environments
Where You’ll Work & Schedule
- Location: Lexington Park, MD — on site 5 days per week (work on a DoD contract at Patuxent River / NAS Patuxent River area)
- Employment type: Full‑time
- Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; active clearance preferred
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required for this role
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following education/experience combinations:
- Bachelor’s degree + prior customer service experience, OR
- Associate’s degree + 2 years’ relevant experience, OR
- 4 years’ relevant work experience with no degree
Required skills and attributes:
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
- Strong attention to detail and accurate work documentation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively on a team and follow direction
- Willingness to learn and adapt in an enterprise IT environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Proposed pay range: $22.40 - $29.00 USD (as posted by our client)
- The Confidential Client determines final pay based on location, experience, skills, and contract requirements
