What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an IT Staff Auditor to support internal IT audit activities at their Martins Additions, MD location. In this role you will help evaluate IT systems, controls, and processes, execute audit programs, and produce clear findings and recommendations that reduce technology risk.

  • Assist the IT audit team in planning and executing IT audits in accordance with professional and departmental standards
  • Conduct walkthroughs of IT processes (access controls, change management, backup/recovery, application controls)
  • Test design and operating effectiveness of IT controls, including cybersecurity and data protection measures
  • Document audit workpapers and prepare concise, actionable findings for management
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, external auditors, and co-sourced IT audit partners
  • Participate in regulatory compliance audits related to IT and support remediation tracking
  • Use data analytics to test IT datasets and identify anomalous activity (preferred)
  • Perform other IT audit duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of IT auditing or related experience (IT internal audit, IT risk management, security operations)
  • Strong understanding of IT controls, information security frameworks, and cybersecurity concepts
  • Experience with IT audit methodology and risk/control assessments
  • Preferred certifications: CISA, CISSP, or similar
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools for audit testing (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organization/time management
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with IT and business stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Banking or financial-services IT environment experience preferred but not required

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $85,000 per year (salary range shown; final compensation will depend on experience and qualifications)

Position Requirements

Work is primarily performed on-site at the Martins Additions, MD office with hybrid/remote flexibility available at management discretion. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Typical duties may require:
