Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level IT Security talent graduating in Spring/Summer 2027 for full-time positions based in Cincinnati, OH (CINCINNATI GENERAL OFFICES). Roles include Security Engineer and Security Analyst tracks within a global Cyber Defense organization focused on threat detection, incident response, and continuous improvement of security controls across applications, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.

What You’ll Do

• Work on leading-edge security technologies and processes to help protect the organization from internal and external cyber threats.
• Security Engineer responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and monitor security solutions and platforms.
  • Assess security infrastructure and recommend improvements aligned with architecture and security standards.
  • Communicate vulnerability risks and impacts to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Investigate and respond to security threats and research emerging TTPs to strengthen controls across the CI/CD pipeline.
• Security Analyst responsibilities:
  • Participate in incident response and drive vulnerability remediation across worldwide assets.
  • Partner with Penetration Testing, Cyber Hunt, Threat Intelligence, and other teams to harden defenses.
  • Use security tools to detect, investigate, and mitigate threats.
  • Clearly communicate technical findings and recommended remediation to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• You are graduating in Spring or Summer 2027 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical/IT field.
• Basic IT security awareness and understanding of cybersecurity standards.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills — able to work cross-functionally and explain technical issues to varied audiences.
• Leadership potential and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
• Fast learner, open-minded, and motivated to grow technically and professionally.

Compensation & Logistics

• Starting pay / salary range (posted): $85,000 – $122,200 per year.
• Employment type: Full time.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Relocation and mobility: candidates should be open to relocation as business needs and developmental opportunities arise.
• Confidential Client participates in E-Verify.
• Total rewards at Confidential Client may include salary + bonus (if applicable) + benefits. Specific compensation can vary by office location, role, degree/credentials, and relevant experience.
