Role Summary

The IT Resilience & Assurance Analyst will support the Organizational Resilience team at a Confidential Client in the Media & Information Services industry. This early-career, part‑time role focuses on strengthening enterprise technology resilience, operational maturity, governance, and continuous improvement across critical services. The analyst will work with experienced technology professionals to support business continuity and disaster recovery, perform operational assurance reviews, and help prototype AI-enabled solutions that reduce manual effort and improve decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Organizational Resilience

  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning activities.
  • Assist with Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and operational risk assessments.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and tabletop exercises, and crisis management activities.
  • Help develop and maintain continuity and recovery plans, procedures, and operational documentation.
  • Support incident response and post-incident improvement initiatives.
  • Research emerging technologies and best practices to strengthen resilience.

Operational Assurance

  • Participate in Operational Assurance reviews across technology services.
  • Collect, organize, and validate documentation, operational evidence, reports, and dashboards.
  • Compare documented processes with actual operational practices and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with operational maturity assessments using established methodologies.
  • Evaluate governance, operational controls, documentation quality, ownership, and reporting effectiveness.
  • Help identify operational risks, process gaps, and remediation recommendations.

AI Innovation & Solution Development

  • Assist in designing, prototyping, and improving AI-powered solutions that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Help develop AI assistants, copilots, knowledge bases, intelligent workflows, and automations using approved enterprise AI platforms and low-code tools.
  • Support dashboards, operational scorecards, and AI-enabled analytics that provide actionable insights.
  • Help evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical, measurable use cases.
  • Assist with measuring AI solution effectiveness and iterate based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure alignment with governance, security, and responsible AI practices.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Assist in developing operational standards, playbooks, procedures, and documentation.
  • Support technology governance and operational consistency initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement projects across infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise applications, and service management teams.
  • Track remediation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support executive reporting and operational metrics.

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in a technology- or business-related discipline (examples: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Business/Data Analytics, Risk Management, Emergency or Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, MIS).
  • Prior professional experience is not required — internship, coursework, research, or project experience related to technology operations, cybersecurity, business continuity, operational resilience, enterprise risk, QA, IT governance, or process improvement is valued.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Exposure to generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar).
  • Interest in designing AI-powered solutions, automations, or intelligent workflows.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Power Automate, Python, or low-code platforms is a plus.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, or similar collaboration tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and collaborate across teams.

Entry-level certifications considered a plus (not required):

  • ITIL® 4 Foundation
  • COBIT® Foundation
  • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
  • Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
  • CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Data+
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner

Position Type / Schedule

  • Part-time, benefits‑eligible role: 21 hours per week across three flexible workdays (mutually agreed).
  • Work location: In-person at the Confidential Client’s Manhattan, NY office.
  • In accordance with applicable law for hires in New York City: reasonable estimated pay for this role if hired in NYC is $35.00/Hour - $41.00/Hour. Final pay will be determined based on permissible, non‑discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and education.
  • This role is intended to develop early-career technology talent while strengthening resilience, assurance, governance, and AI-enabled operational improvement capabilities.
