Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level IT Engineers (class of 2027) to join teams focused on software, platform, or network engineering. These roles are hands-on and designed for recent graduates who want to solve real business problems at scale using modern engineering practices. Location: Hyde Park, OH.

What You’ll Do

Depending on the specific team assignment (software, platform, or network), you may:

• Software Engineering

  • Translate system requirements and user stories into maintainable application designs and high-quality code.
  • Build, test, and validate software; participate in the full SDLC using CI/CD tools.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (product, operations, security) to integrate services and deliver customer-facing solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions; keep solutions testable, automated, and scalable.

• Platform Engineering

  • Manage and improve cloud platforms with configuration management and automation.
  • Drive platform standards and help resolve cloud/security incidents.
  • Lead proof-of-concept work, evaluate third-party cloud tools, and collaborate with service providers.
  • Share reusable code and best practices across the engineering community.

• Network Engineering

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, VPNs, servers).
  • Define technical requirements, validate new capabilities, and partner with suppliers.
  • Act as escalation support for critical network incidents and collaborate with operations to ensure reliable service.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)

• Graduating in Spring or Summer 2027 with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical/IT field.
• Strong problem-solving ability and hands-on programming experience (examples: Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go).
• Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of network hardware and infrastructure (routers, switches, VPNs, servers).
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical teammates and non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new languages, tools, and paradigms quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated history of solving difficult problems with creative solutions.
• Experience or coursework with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps philosophies, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.

Compensation & Schedule

• Employment type: Full time
• Starting pay / salary range: $85,000 - $122,200 per year (range provided by Confidential Client and may vary by location, role, and candidate experience)
• Entry-level / Job segmentation: Entry Level
