Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level IT Data Analyst I to join their hybrid team in Kansas City, MO. This role supports the IT Development and Data Engineering teams by querying, analyzing, and reporting on enterprise data. The position requires a minimum of three (3) days per week in the Kansas City office with up to two (2) remote days.

What You’ll Do

• Query, analyze, and validate data from enterprise systems using SQL.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Report Builder, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Support data quality, basic data documentation, and data governance activities.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal business stakeholders.
• Assist with data extracts and basic ETL tasks under guidance from senior engineers.
• Learn and apply data warehousing concepts (dimensional models, ETL) as assigned.

Qualifications

• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
• No prior full-time professional experience required; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Foundational SQL knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server preferred; Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL helpful).
• Familiarity with at least one BI/reporting tool (Power BI, Report Builder, or Tableau).
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, ETL processes) is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in telecommunications or technology industries is preferred but not required.

Employment Details & Compensation

• Employment type: Full time (Contractor classification may apply per client setup).
• Location: Kansas City, MO — hybrid (minimum 3 days in-office per week).
• Salary: $31.55 - $39.43 per hour (hourly rate as provided by the client).
