Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a lead IT Data Analyst to own end-to-end engagement, onboarding, and the insights experience for partners consuming quality and operations data. You will translate stakeholder needs into clear reporting, metrics, and data flows, and ensure file-upload processes and downstream pipelines are reliable, documented, and production-ready. This is a hybrid, contract (W2) role based in Austin, TX (local presence required as needed).

What You’ll Do

  • Own partner engagement for quality & operations data — act as the primary point of contact for digital and operations stakeholders.
  • Lead onboarding of new teams, plants, and systems onto reporting and data solutions (examples in source systems provided).
  • Define and deliver standard reports, scorecards, and outcome metrics to support decision-making.
  • Design and maintain intuitive data flows, curated views, and visualizations for end users.
  • Own the file-upload process: schedule, document, monitor, and lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Drive features from concept to production in partnership with engineering and data teams.

Responsibilities

  • Engagement & onboarding

    • Run discovery/intake sessions to understand use cases and data needs.
    • Plan and execute onboarding (communication, training, readiness checks).
    • Produce simple reference materials (playbooks, quick-start guides).
  • Reporting, metrics & insights

    • Define core metric set, scorecards, and outcome measures.
    • Partner with data engineering and analytics to build accurate, timely dashboards and reports.
    • Align on definitions and calculation logic across stakeholders; iterate based on feedback.
  • Data flows & visualizations

    • Map end-to-end data flows from source through uploads to curated reports.
    • Work with technical teams to design visualizations and data subsets that match user workflows.
    • Identify and remediate gaps, bottlenecks, or latency issues.
  • File-upload operations & process ownership

    • Maintain the file-upload schedule across teams, SLAs, sequencing, and dependencies.
    • Create process diagrams and documentation for upload and downstream processing.
    • Monitor latency and failure modes; coordinate on-call and escalation paths for incidents.
    • Partner closely with engineering to move stable processes into production.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives at the intersection of data, operations, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong technical background with SQL and Python; clear understanding of how data flows through systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to design reporting, scorecards, and outcome metrics in complex operational environments.
  • Comfortable owning operational processes end-to-end: mapping flows, defining schedules, documenting procedures, and managing on-call/escalations.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to translate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Track record of driving adoption of new tools and workflows across multiple teams or plants.

Nice to Have

  • Experience onboarding systems such as Sterlz, SQMS, APS, or similar operational platforms.
  • Background working closely with data engineering and analytics teams to productionize data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding and reporting tools and techniques (business-facing visualizations).

Working details

  • Location: Austin, TX — hybrid (on-site as required).
  • Employment type: Contract (W2).
  • Duration: 1 year with possible extension (per client).
  • On-call and incident-response participation expected as part of operational ownership.
