What You’ll Do

This entry-level IT Business Analyst I supports Endpoint Management business-analysis activities, focusing on hardware fulfillment and asset lifecycle processes. You will work under guidance to document requirements, improve procurement and inventory processes, support testing, and help maintain accurate asset records.

  • Coordinate and fulfill standard and custom hardware requests; act as a customer-focused point of contact throughout the purchase and fulfillment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with support teams and external vendors to resolve procurement or fulfillment issues.
  • Maintain and validate IT asset inventory records to support compliance, audit, and reporting needs.
  • Document current-state processes, develop workflow diagrams, and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and escalate findings with recommended next steps.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders, technical teams, and operations; prepare meeting agendas, notes, and action items.
  • Perform data validation and support creation/maintenance of operational reports and dashboards.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT): execute test cases, document results, and track defects to resolution.
  • Support implementation readiness: update documentation, assist with process communication, and coordinate rollout tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with general IT concepts, systems, and terminology.
  • Experience in higher education IT or similar IT organizations.
  • Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and procurement systems.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, reporting dashboards) and process documentation or workflow diagramming.
  • Exposure to product management or lifecycle functions is a plus.

Skills and abilities:

  • Basic understanding of business analysis principles; ability to gather and document requirements with guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines under supervision.
  • Comfort learning enterprise systems (ITSM, procurement platforms) and basic analytical/problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Rate of pay: $59,404 - $74,254 (annual).
  • Compensation type: salary at 1.0 FTE.
  • Benefits: health, dental, vision insurance; life and disability programs; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; retirement plans; tuition reduction programs for eligible employees/families; access to recreation and cultural activities, and other benefits typical for a full-time higher-education employee.
  • This position is full-time, on-site at the South Tucson location. Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour workdays with a typical start time at 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Working Conditions & Other Details

  • FLSA: Exempt.
  • Hours: 40 per week; Job FTE: 1.0.
  • Physical: ability to lift equipment up to 35 lbs.
  • Background check: Fingerprint criminal background check required (security-sensitive position).
