Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Information Technology Analyst – Automation & UiPath to join their automation team in Houston, TX. This hands-on role focuses on developing, testing, deploying, and supporting robotic process automation (RPA) and related automation solutions using UiPath and complementary technologies. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure and security teams to deliver reliable, maintainable automation that improves business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions using UiPath Studio and established frameworks (e.g., REFramework).
• Integrate automations with enterprise systems (SAP and non‑SAP), databases, REST APIs, and web applications.
• Support UiPath platform components — Orchestrator, Robots, Studio, queues, assets, schedules — and monitor bot performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes or escalations as needed.
• Participate in SDLC activities: requirements analysis, code reviews, testing, deployments across Dev/Test/UAT/Prod, and operational support.
• Use source control and CI/CD tools (Git, Azure DevOps) as part of the development and deployment workflow.
• Create and maintain technical documentation: process maps, solution design, deployment steps, runbooks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement: reusable components, coding standards, governance, and automation best practices.
• Learn and evaluate emerging automation and AI capabilities (Power Platform, SAP Build, Document Understanding, Generative AI) and propose appropriate use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR relevant military experience (U.S. E5 or Canadian equivalent) OR a minimum of 3 years’ relevant hands-on experience in automation/RPA or related IT roles.
• Ability to work legally in the United States. This role does not offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.
• Practical experience or exposure to UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, Robots, and REFramework (hands-on, certification, or internship experience acceptable).
• Experience working with APIs, JSON, and basic integration concepts.
• Familiarity with source control (Git) and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, CI/CD concepts).
• Basic SQL skills and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL).
• Strong troubleshooting and production‑support skills; ability to analyze failures and implement corrective actions.
• Clear communicator who can translate business requirements into technical automation solutions and work effectively across functional teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-have

• Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Power Platform / Power Automate or SAP Build Process Automation.
• Programming experience in C#, VB.NET, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure fundamentals and cloud deployment patterns.
• Experience with intelligent document processing, LLMs, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder, or Document Understanding.
• Knowledge of secure credential management, access control, and secure development practices.
• Prior experience with enterprise SAP (ECC/S4HANA, SAP GUI, Fiori) integrations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Estimated base (Adzuna estimate): $94,158 per year (provided as an estimate from the source posting). Actual pay is determined by Confidential Client based on experience, skills, and location.
