Confidential Client is a mission-driven investment platform focused on tax-credit-anchored investments in clean energy and other renewable power projects. The team combines tax credit finance, public-private partnerships, and structured investment experience to deploy capital to projects that support the energy transition.
We are seeking an entry-level Investments Analyst to join the Investments team and help structure, underwrite, and close tax equity, preferred equity, and project finance transactions. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build deep technical skills in renewable energy finance and tax credit structures.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain robust Excel financial models for tax equity, preferred equity, and project finance transactions (partnership flip, Section 6418 transfer structures, etc.).
- Support transaction execution by organizing data rooms, reviewing project financials, and tracking diligence items to completion.
- Research renewable energy markets, tax credit policy, and comparable transaction pricing to inform investment decisions.
- Draft sections of investment memos, transaction summaries, and investor-facing materials.
- Maintain transaction records and pipeline data in Salesforce.
- Coordinate documentation requests with legal, tax, and sponsor counterparties.
- Assist senior team members with preparation of materials for investment committee review.
Who You Are (Qualifications & Core Attributes)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience; internships or full-time work in banking, energy finance, project finance, or related analytical roles are a plus.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
- Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Compensation & Total Rewards
- Base salary: $115,000 - $155,000 per year.
- Performance bonus: target ~10% of base salary.
- Potential discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, generous PTO, flexible/hybrid work, employer donation match, annual company retreat and periodic team events.
- Compensation and title will be determined commensurate with experience.

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, hybrid work environment with occasional travel
- Experience level: 2–5 years (entry-level to early-career analyst)
Preferred/Helpful Experience
- Experience with tax equity, renewable energy project finance, or structured finance is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM/pipeline systems is a plus.
- Prior exposure to legal/tax diligence or investor materials drafting is advantageous.
