About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an Investment & Trading Associate to support portfolio operations, model trading, and investment reporting for a growing wealth-management practice. This is a hands-on role working closely with the portfolio team and advisors to execute trades, monitor drift, support rebalancing, and help produce client-facing investment content. The role is primarily in-office in the central Ohio area with occasional flexibility after training.


Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor portfolio drift and run weekly screens for excess cash
  • Execute trades for cash raises, model changes, drift management, and large rebalances
  • Manage trading and models for annuity assets with multiple carriers
  • Support research on mutual funds, ETFs, and private fund allocations
  • Complete advisor service requests and keep detailed notes in Salesforce CRM
  • Coordinate with advisors on client communications related to trade activity
  • Develop internal and external investment commentary and client materials
  • Support investment webinars, newsletters, and reporting
  • Verify accuracy of data feeds between custodians and portfolio systems
  • Perform additional investment operations duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably finance, economics, or accounting)
  • At least 1 year of financial services experience (including internships); public-market investing experience preferred
  • Must reside in central Ohio and be available to work in person most of the time
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, time management, critical thinking, and ability to work independently

Preferred Experience

  • FINRA licenses (Series 6, 7, 65) or progress toward CFA/CFP/CAIA
  • Experience with Schwab, Fidelity, or similar custodians
  • Experience with Tamarac, Orion, or comparable portfolio management software
  • Experience using AI as an investment research tool
  • Two or more years working in an office environment

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $80,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and credentials.
