Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Investment Operations Analyst (hybrid) to support middle/back-office activities for investment portfolios. This is an entry-level / early-career role ideal for candidates who want hands-on experience across trade settlements, reconciliations, wire processing, data management, valuations, and reporting within an investment management environment.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily middle- and back-office operations across multiple asset classes, including trade settlements and confirmations.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations; investigate and resolve breaks.
• Process wires and other cash movements accurately and on time.
• Maintain and validate operational data used for valuations and reporting.
• Produce and support operational reports and ad-hoc data requests.
• Work with internal partners (IT, Legal, Compliance, Accounting, Treasury) to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Contribute to process improvements, controls, and project initiatives in operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Early-career professional; internship or prior exposure to investment-related activities preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables); proficient with Word and Outlook.
• Comfortable with data entry, validation, and reporting tasks.
• Detail-oriented, organized, intellectually curious, and a proactive problem solver.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Interest in investment management and operations.

Location, schedule & compensation

• Location: Bloomfield, CT (hybrid: in-office at corporate HQ with flexible work-from-home arrangements).
• Employment type: Contract (role is posted as a contractor position).
• Anticipated base salary range: USD 59,600 — 99,400 per year (final offer depends on experience and geography).
• This role is anticipated to be eligible for participation in an annual bonus plan.
• If working from home occasionally or permanently, a cable broadband or fiber connection with at least 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload is required.
