Role Overview

This is an entry-level Investment Analyst role supporting a confidential client’s institutional investment office in Ny State Campus, NY. This is a three-year term position with an anticipated start in summer 2027 (earlier start possible). The office currently operates a hybrid schedule (typically 4 days in-person, 1 day remote).

What You’ll Do

• Acquire deep knowledge of designing and executing a global, multi-asset-class institutional investment strategy
• Support senior team members on investment analysis, sourcing, due diligence, and structuring
• Lead independent analytic, quantitative, and qualitative projects to support investment decisions
• Evaluate and monitor existing investments and manager relationships; review reports and meet with managers
• Use quantitative/statistical techniques and develop models for investment and portfolio-level analysis
• Perform portfolio rebalancing, optimization studies, valuation and relative valuation analyses
• Execute performance, risk measurement, and attribution analyses

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (all majors encouraged; Master’s candidates welcome)
• Up to 1 year of related or relevant work experience
• Strong quantitative background — coursework or demonstrated skills in statistics, mathematics, computer science, operations research, or related fields
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with external managers and governance bodies

Desired Skills & Attributes

• Demonstrated interest in investment theory, financial markets, and institutional investing
• Willingness to pursue the CFA program and/or another professional credential (CAIA, FRM, CIPM, etc.)
• Proficiency with spreadsheet modeling and quantitative techniques
• Programming or analytics experience in one or more of: Python, R, SQL, VBA, SAS, Tableau, C#
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Team-oriented, professional demeanor, and ability to build credibility with stakeholders
• Willingness to travel up to ~15% when required

Program Goals & Development

The analyst program is designed to provide wide asset-class exposure and hands-on experience across investments, operations, and portfolio analytics. Analysts will rotate through varied assignments to develop a deep, practical understanding of institutional portfolio construction and risk management. The confidential client supports professional development, including credential pursuit (CFA and similar).

• Pay range: $94,350 — $127,500 per year (listed by the employer)
