Compensation & Key Details

This is a frontline Field Investigator role supporting insurance claims investigations. Compensation and pay transparency (California) provided below:

• Hourly rate: $22 - $26 per hour (weekly pay).
• Travel time: compensated at 100% of regular hourly rate after standard commute deduction.
• Mileage reimbursement: $0.60 per mile for portal-to-portal and mobile surveillance mileage.
• Paid administrative time (report writing, etc.) and paid training at regular hourly rate.
• Employment type: Full-time. This role supports telecommute / remote work but requires field activity in the Fresno area.

What You’ll Do

You will perform on-the-ground investigative work for insurance clients while maintaining accurate documentation and timely updates.

• Conduct scene investigations and canvases; collect photo and video evidence at accident locations.
• Perform wellness checks, document signings, and retrievals through home visits.
• Review case materials before conducting field activity.
• Prepare and dictate investigative reports; submit daily case updates.
• Follow client directives and maintain confidentiality and chain-of-custody for evidence.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet these baseline requirements to be considered:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible/home-based schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum auto insurance: $100,000 per person / $300,000 per accident bodily injury / $50,000 property damage.
• Smartphone, printer/scanner, and desktop/laptop with reliable internet.
• Ability to model professional behaviors and operate with discretion in sensitive investigations.

Preferred Qualifications

These are not required but helpful:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
• Prior customer service or investigative experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
