Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Investigative Analyst to support a federal government program in Northern Virginia. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Alexandria / Northern Virginia area. The position is contingent upon contract award.

  • Salary: $140,000 – $220,000 annually (actual pay will be based on experience, qualifications, security clearance, and contract funding)
  • Employment type: Full-time, on-site (Northern Virginia)
  • Start / award timeline (anticipated): September/October 2026

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify, assess, and document investigative leads related to personnel security, counterintelligence, cybersecurity, and insider threat matters
  • Apply critical thinking and sound judgment to develop findings and actionable recommendations
  • Produce well-written, concise, accurate reports and tailor communications for diverse stakeholder audiences
  • Manage cases and competing priorities in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within teams
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and leadership that supports respectful consensus-building

Qualifications

  • Experience levels considered:
    • Entry Level: 0–2 years of specialized experience
    • Journeyman: 2–4 years
    • Full Performance: 4–6 years
    • Senior Level: 6–8 years
    • Subject Matter Expert (SME): 8–12 years
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related scientific/technical discipline
  • Relevant certifications in programming, cloud/infrastructure, architecture/design, networking, or cybersecurity are a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate technical findings into actionable intelligence
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines while maintaining quality and accuracy

Security Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI with a Full-Scope Polygraph (FS Poly) adjudicated within the last five (5) years is required

Location & Work Model

  • On-site in Northern Virginia (Alexandria area). Candidates must be able to work at the client site as required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $140,000 – $220,000 per year (contingent on contract award and dependent on candidate experience, certifications, and clearance)
