What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on, analytical leadership role focused on inventory accuracy, material flow reconciliation, cycle counts, and process oversight. You will lead daily cycle count activities, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and partner with accounting to ensure inventory aligns with financial records. You will also coach and develop a small team to meet accuracy and productivity targets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess material flow to maintain accurate inventory balances
- Perform inventory reconciliation between system records and physical counts
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies and root causes
- Partner with accounting for inventory/financial alignment and billing-related movements
- Review transactions that impact inventory: receipts, adjustments, transfers, and billing movements
- Prepare variance reports and present findings with corrective recommendations
- Assign and monitor daily cycle count activities and lead annual physical inventory and pre-count projects
- Cross-train team members and document process steps to improve consistency
- Supervise and support a team of 4–5 inventory associates; provide training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Inventory at other company or partner facilities as required
- Follow company procedures, safety rules, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Billing, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas)
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word
- 1–2 years of entry-level leadership experience; experience supervising 2–5 direct reports preferred
- Experience with reconciliation, balancing, or accounting/billing processes
- English language proficiency required
Supervisory Responsibility
- This role has direct reports (typically 4–5 inventory associates). You will provide daily direction, coaching, and development.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and/or government-issued ID
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, walk, and climb stairs
- May require varying work schedules to meet client demand
- Must be able to work in hot and cold warehouse environments
