Role summary
This Inventory Associate role supports inventory accuracy and inventory management processes at our Confidential Client's San Jose, CA site. This is an entry-level, full-time role that provides hands-on training and opportunities to learn inventory controls, cycle counting, variance analysis, and process improvement in an IT/manufacturing support environment.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and prioritize cycle counting activities across business areas.
- Monitor execution to ensure correct deployment and adherence to procedures.
- Identify process issues and recommend improvements.
- Assist with variance analysis to determine root causes.
- Report cycle count findings and help implement corrective actions.
- Track and follow up on process improvements and write-offs.
- Communicate initiatives and findings across teams and present results to senior management.
- Provide training, support and mentoring to NCM Specialists and other site employees on inventory processes and NCM concepts.
- Develop and implement process changes to improve inventory workflows.
- Facilitate monthly team meetings to provide technical or business updates.
- Perform audits of physical processes and ensure adherence to established procedures.
Required skills & competencies
- Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, and MRP concepts.
- Familiarity with warehouse, distribution, inventory control, and shipping/receiving practices.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and data interpretation.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate material movement records.
- Effective verbal and written communication with internal customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to a small group or peers.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Physical demands
- Work is primarily in an office/warehouse environment.
- May require extended periods of sitting and focused computer work.
- Frequent repetitive manual movements (data entry, mouse use, calculator).
- Occasional walking in warehouse/production areas for audits and cycle counts.
Salary & benefits
- Base range: $63,196 - $93,969 (includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive).
- Comprehensive benefits package offered in addition to the stated range.
- Range is an estimate and may vary based on experience, credentials, and jurisdiction.
Typical experience & education
- 0–2 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Training and on-the-job development will be provided.
