Overview

Confidential Client (IT) is hiring an Inventory Associate in San Jose, CA. This is an entry-level, full-time role that provides functional and organizational training under close supervision. The Inventory Associate supports inventory management activities including cycle counting, variance analysis, process improvements, training, and audits.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate cycle-count activities across business areas and monitor priorities and deployment.
• Identify process issues and opportunities for improvement; assist with root-cause/variance analysis.
• Report cycle count findings, present results and write-offs to senior management.
• Track, follow up on, and assist implementation of process improvements.
• Provide training, support, and mentoring to NCM (non-conformance management) specialists and site employees on inventory processes.
• Develop and implement process changes to improve inventory accuracy and workflows.
• Facilitate monthly team meetings with technical or business updates.
• Perform audits of physical processes and adherence to standard procedures.
• Communicate initiatives and findings across business areas and with stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications

• 0–2 years relevant experience; entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic knowledge of production planning, scheduling, MRP techniques and manufacturing control systems.
• Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control, and shipping/receiving practices.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis, data interpretation, and issue resolution.
• Basic math skills and ability to maintain accurate records of material movement.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
• Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to a small group of employees.
• Proficiency with computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access experience a plus).

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a normal office environment.
• May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or detailed data.
• Repetitive manual movements (data entry, using a mouse or calculator) are frequently required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $63,196 – $93,969 per year (this range includes base salary and target Short-Term Incentive compensation). A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.
