What You’ll Do
This entry-level Inventory role supports cycle counting, inventory analysis, and process improvements across the site. You will work under close supervision while taking increasing ownership of inventory tasks and supporting colleagues through training and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate cycle count activities across business areas and ensure proper priorities and deployment
- Monitor inventory activities and identify process issues or opportunities for improvement
- Assist with variance analysis and root-cause investigations
- Report cycle count findings, write-offs, and recommendations; support implementation of process changes
- Track and follow up on corrective actions and process improvements
- Present findings and process updates to site or senior management
- Provide training, support and mentoring to NCM specialists and site employees on inventory processes and NCM
- Facilitate monthly team meetings with technical or business updates
- Perform audits of physical processes and confirm adherence to established procedures
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic knowledge of production planning fundamentals, scheduling, MRP techniques, and manufacturing control systems
- Knowledge of warehouse, distribution, inventory control, and shipping/receiving practices
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills for root-cause analysis and data interpretation
- Basic math and strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal stakeholders
- Ability to lead or coach a small group and support team development
- Proficiency with common office applications; experience with Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint preferred
Physical Demands
- Work is performed in a normal office environment
- May require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on screens and numeric data
- Repetitive manual movements (data entry, using a mouse or calculator) are frequently required
