What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking Intrusion Analysts (Levels I–III) to perform technical analysis and identify indicators of compromise in support of customer operations. This role focuses on malware and network-traffic analysis, SIGINT/computer network defense data review, and delivering actionable detection and mitigation artifacts.

• Provide technical analysis, reporting, and documentation that enable malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation.
• Analyze metadata and network traffic to identify, locate, and track targets; accurately report intelligence derived from metadata analysis.
• Discover, analyze, and document malicious and unauthorized activity using SIGINT and computer network defense sources.
• Categorize traffic as benign, suspicious, or malicious and document tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Develop and recommend mitigation strategies and detection signatures for operational use.

• Primary location: Savage, MD (on-site).
• May require support at other client sites or travel as needed.
• Employment type: Full time.

Clearance & Security Requirements

• TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• All candidates must be eligible to maintain required security clearances.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• Hands-on relevant experience in malware analysis and intrusion detection.
• Familiarity with SIGINT, network traffic analysis, and computer network defense data sources.
• Programming or scripting experience preferred in one or more of: C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, Python.
• Ability to document TTPs and produce technical artifacts (signatures, detection rules, reports).
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in mission-focused teams.

Certifications

• CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREST (CREA) certification:
  • Preferred for Level I.
  • Required for Levels II and III.

Education & Experience

• Entry-level: Associate’s degree + 4 years relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree + 2 years relevant experience.
• Mid/senior levels: ranges up to Associate’s +10 years, Bachelor’s +8 years, or Master’s +6 years depending on level.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $100,000 - $190,000 per year.
• Benefits (varies by level): competitive health plans, PTO, 401(k) matching and vesting details, and other standard employee benefits.
