Position overview

Confidential Client is a global maritime shipments organization operating in 150+ countries with US HQ in Miami. We are hiring an Internal Auditor (entry-level, Big 4 background preferred) to help assess and improve internal controls across accounting, operations and administrative functions. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Downtown Miami (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) with frequent domestic and international travel across the US and LATAM.

What You’ll Do

• Perform internal audits across accounting, administration and operations to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Review and analyze business processes, internal controls, procedures and compliance obligations.
• Examine transactions, accounts, documentation, operational costs and related records for accuracy and adherence to policy.
• Identify irregularities, document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide appraisals of internal control structures and propose process improvements.
• Support planning of audit scope, next steps and follow-up actions.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates with 1–2 years of experience — Big 4 audit experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit methodologies and accounting principles.
• Comfortable with frequent travel (domestic & international) and a hybrid on-site/remote schedule.
• Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills.
• Ability to document findings clearly and recommend practical remediation steps.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $90,000–$95,000 per year.
• Annual discretionary bonus (approximately 20–30%), plus an additional ~5% other bonus potential.

Location & Schedule

• Primary workplace: Downtown Miami, FL (Confidential Client US HQ).
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM; hybrid model with 1 day remote / 4 days in-office.
• Travel: Frequent domestic & international travel across the US and LATAM.
