Role Overview

Confidential Client, a global logistics and supply chain organization, is hiring an Internal Auditor (entry-level / early-career) in Grapevine, TX. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with strong analytical skills who wants hands-on exposure to audit, risk assessment, data analytics, SOX testing, and business advisory work across finance, operations, and technology. You'll work with experienced auditors to evaluate controls, analyze large datasets, and recommend pragmatic improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with internal audits of financial, operational, and technology processes.
  • Evaluate internal controls, document processes, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and related compliance activities.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and risk indicators.
  • Help develop automated testing routines, continuous monitoring, and analytics-driven audit procedures.
  • Support fraud risk and governance reviews when appropriate.
  • Partner with process owners to recommend practical improvements that enhance efficiency and risk management.
  • Participate in training and development programs to grow audit, risk, and technical skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree completed within the last two years in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, intellectual integrity, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on small teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship experience in accounting, audit, consulting, analytics, technology, or operations.
  • Exposure to data visualization or analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau), databases/SQL, or programming (Python).
  • Familiarity with business process, risk concepts, or prior internal audit exposure.
  • Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA.
  • Knowledge or interest in logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries.
