Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultants to join their New York City practice. This role suits early-career consultants and recent graduates who want hands-on client experience across business process and technology audit/advisory engagements. You will work on cross-functional teams, apply AI-enabled analytics, and help clients manage risk, controls, and emerging technology challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Support internal audit and financial advisory engagements across industries, focusing on business process audit or technology audit tracks
- Assist in risk assessments, control testing, and regulatory/compliance workstreams
- Analyze data using tools and scripting to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights
- Prepare clear documentation of observations, remediation recommendations, and executive-level summaries
- Contribute to client deliverables and present findings to team members and client stakeholders
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, Power BI, Python) to increase efficiency while maintaining strong human judgment
- Participate in onboarding, training programs, and professional development activities to accelerate your consulting career
Core Responsibilities
- Perform audit procedures, testing, and validation of controls and processes
- Clean, manipulate, and interpret data sets to support audit conclusions
- Help design process improvements and automation opportunities using tools like Alteryx and MS Power Platform
- Work with technical teams on software development lifecycle reviews and technology governance assessments (technology-audit track)
- Support client-facing communication, status updates, and documentation of project milestones
- Learn and apply audit methodology, frameworks, and emerging technology risk principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- Demonstrated proficiency applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks (examples: Microsoft Copilot, GenAI)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset
- Technical aptitude aligned to your assigned capability area (business process or technology audit)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Interest or entry-level experience with advanced analytics and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Python, MS Power Platform)
- Desire to pursue professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $75,000 — $92,000 (placement dependent on experience, skills, and geographic work location)
- Bonus target opportunity: $2,000
- Estimated total cash range: $77,000 — $94,000
- Benefits (subject to eligibility and plan documents): medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, adoption and fertility assistance, 401(k) with employer match, Choice Time Off (CTO), and holiday pay

- Hybrid working model combining in-person and remote work as appropriate for client needs and team effectiveness
- Primary job location: New York City, NY
