Role overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultant to join their Los Angeles team. This is a full-time, early-career consulting role where you’ll work on internal audit, business process improvement, and technology audit engagements. You’ll apply analytical skills, modern tools (Power BI, Microsoft 365) and AI-enabled techniques to help clients strengthen controls, manage risk, and drive operational improvements.
What you’ll do
- Work on client audit and advisory engagements across industries (business process audit, technology audit, financial advisory).
- Assess risks, test controls, document observations and recommend remediation.
- Analyze diverse datasets to identify trends, anomalies and control gaps using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Python.
- Apply AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot / GenAI) to support analysis and research while maintaining strong human judgment and documentation.
- Support automation and analytics initiatives (Alteryx, MS Power Platform) to improve audit efficiency and insight quality.
- Communicate findings clearly to project teams and clients—prepare workpapers, slide decks and executive summaries.
- Collaborate with senior advisors, participate in training programs, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Demonstrated proficiency applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think critically, synthesize complex information, and present actionable recommendations.
- Technical familiarity aligning with assigned capability area (business process or technology audit).
- Experience or interest in data visualization (Power BI), analytics (Python, Alteryx), and Microsoft Office tools.
- Entry-level software development understanding and familiarity with development best practices is a plus.

Compensation & benefits (summary)
- Base salary range: $75,000 - $92,000 (placement within range depends on experience, skills and geographic work location).
- Bonus target opportunity: $2,000.
- Estimated total cash range (base + bonus): $77,000 - $94,000.
