Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultant in Columbus, OH. This is a hybrid, client-facing consulting role that develops your internal audit, technology audit, and financial advisory skills through hands-on project work, structured training, and mentorship. The role is open to candidates seeking full-time employment or internship experiences and includes a competitive base salary range and benefits.


What You’ll Do

  • Work on internal audit and financial advisory engagements for large, diversified clients.
  • Assess business processes, risk and control frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform data analysis, document observations, and communicate findings to clients and project teams.
  • Use AI-enabled analysis and modern analytics tools to interrogate data and produce insights.
  • Support Technology Audit engagements focused on cybersecurity, data governance, cloud, and software development controls (if aligned to the assigned capability).
  • Contribute to Business Process Audit projects to enhance efficiency, governance, and controls.
  • Collaborate with experienced advisors and participate in client-facing meetings; take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables.

Who You Are / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying AI tools to analytical and research tasks (examples: Microsoft Copilot, GenAI).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude; ability to apply innovative approaches across industries.
  • Technical proficiency relevant to the assigned capability (Business Process Audit or Technology Audit).
  • Experience or interest in analytics and automation tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, MS Power Platform, and Python is a plus.
  • Entry-level software development familiarity and an eagerness to learn modern tooling and methodologies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $60,000 — $74,000 (annual, full-time equivalent).
  • Bonus target (where applicable): $2,000.
  • Estimated total cash range (base + bonus): $62,000 — $76,000.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; FSA/HSA options; life and disability insurance.
  • Paid parental leave (up to 10 weeks), adoption and fertility assistance.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match (50% on the first 6% of contributions).
  • Choice Time Off (CTO) and up to 11 paid holidays; new hires may receive up to 20 days CTO in the first calendar year.

Work model & location notes

This role follows a hybrid model — combining in-office, client-site, and remote work depending on client and project needs. Local and occasional out-of-state travel may be required. Confidential Client is not registered to hire or employ personnel in West Virginia or Alaska.
