What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultant based in Seattle, WA. This is an entry-level consulting role on client-facing teams that deliver internal audit, business process, and technology advisory services.

  • Support internal audit and financial advisory engagements: assess risks, test controls, document observations, and present findings.
  • Analyze financial and operational data using AI-enabled tools and data interrogation techniques.
  • Contribute to business process audits and technology audits (cybersecurity, data governance, cloud, software development controls).
  • Prepare clear deliverables and client communications, including workpapers, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn from experienced advisors and project leads.
  • Participate in training and onboarding programs to build consulting, technical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities & Typical Projects

  • Execute assigned audit procedures and data analytics under supervision.
  • Use modern tools (Power BI, Excel, Alteryx, Python, MS Power Platform) to transform data into actionable insights.
  • Work on projects across industries — from process improvement and compliance to tech-risk assessments and automation initiatives.
  • Apply professional judgment when using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI) with human oversight.
  • Manage time and priorities on multiple engagements and client sites (local and occasional out-of-state travel).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools and analytic techniques to research and data tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
  • Technical proficiency aligned with assigned capability area (Business Process or Technology Audit).

Work Model & Location

  • Hybrid model: combination of in-office and remote work with choices made to support client outcomes and team collaboration.
  • Primary job location: Seattle, WA. Work will include in-person work in local offices and client sites; some local or out-of-state travel is possible.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting base salary range (full-time equivalent): $75,000 - $92,000.
  • Bonus target opportunity: $2,000.
  • Estimated total cash range (base + bonus): $77,000 - $94,000.
  • Benefits overview: medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA options, life and disability insurance, adoption/fertility assistance, paid parental leave, 401(k) with employer match, Choice Time Off (CTO) and paid holidays. Benefit details vary by location and eligibility.
