Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Internal Audit and Financial Advisory Consultant for its Indianapolis, IN practice. This is a full-time, hybrid consulting role that combines hands-on engagement work with structured training to build audit, advisory, data-analytics, and technology audit capabilities. The role emphasizes AI-enabled analysis, data interrogation, and practical experience across Business Process Audit & Advisory and Technology Audit & Advisory streams.


What You’ll Do

You will join client teams to deliver client-focused audit and advisory services. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Support internal audit, financial advisory, and technology audit engagements from planning through reporting
  • Assess business process and technology risks; perform control testing and remediation support
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify insights and drive recommendations
  • Use data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, Alteryx, MS Power Platform) to interrogate datasets
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate analysis while applying strong human judgment
  • Document findings, prepare clear deliverables, and communicate results to clients and team members
  • Participate in onboarding and ongoing training programs to grow technical and consulting skills
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture, mentoring peers and supporting project delivery

Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying AI-assisted tools to analytical and research tasks (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think critically, synthesize data, and solve problems creatively across industries
  • Technical proficiency aligned to the assigned capability area (business process audit or technology audit)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, and an interest or experience with analytics/automation tools (Alteryx, Python, MS Power Platform)
  • Entry-level software development awareness and best practices is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: USD 60,000 — 74,000 per year
  • Bonus target opportunity: USD 2,000 (annual)
  • Total cash range (base + bonus): USD 62,000 — 76,000 per year
  • Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA accounts, life and disability insurance, fertility and adoption assistance, paid parental leave, 401(k) with employer match, and Choice Time Off (varies by tenure)
  • Final placement in the salary range depends on experience, skills, and geographic work location

This role follows a hybrid model blending in-office and remote work to support strong client service, teamwork, and development.
