What You’ll Do

This role supports systems and hardware integration for defense-related programs. You will join Confidential Client's integration team to deploy, configure and validate systems that combine servers, networking, storage and software platforms.

Primary responsibilities:

• Integrate hardware components (rack-mount servers, network devices, timing devices, storage arrays, PDUs) into standard and non-standard enclosures
• Provision and configure servers (OS, RAID, firmware) to meet system and application requirements using Ansible or similar automation tools
• Build and maintain virtual environments (VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, container platforms) for development, test and deployment
• Configure network routing and switching, manage IP space and monitor network traffic
• Validate and test integrated systems, troubleshoot hardware/software interactions, and document findings
• Collaborate with software developers, system architects, security engineers and program managers to meet program requirements
• Follow DoD/contractor processes for secure handling, documentation, and configuration management

Required Qualifications & Clearance

To be considered, applicants must meet the following:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (required)
• Proven experience integrating servers, networking and storage in lab or field environments
• Hands-on experience with configuration automation tools (Ansible or similar)
• Experience with virtualization (ESXi) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) preferred
• Strong understanding of network routing, switching and IP management
• Ability to read system-level requirements and translate them into hardware/software configurations
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills

Education & experience levels (positions available at multiple seniorities):

• Entry Level — Bachelor’s in a technical field OR 5+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree; minimal experience expected
• Basic Level — Bachelor’s in a technical field + ~5 years relevant experience
• Mid Level — Bachelor’s in a technical field + ~10 years relevant experience
• Senior Level — Bachelor’s in a technical field + ~15 years relevant experience

Nice-to-have / Additional Skills

• Experience with rack integration and non-conventional enclosures
• Familiarity with storage systems and RAID configuration
• Experience with timing devices and power distribution units (PDUs)
• Linux and Windows Server administration experience
• Knowledge of DoD/contractor cybersecurity practices and configuration control

Location & Compensation (Estimated)

• Work location: Annapolis Junction, MD (onsite/contract location as required by program)
• Estimated compensation: $124,785 per year (estimated)
